Development of Ideas
The primary research we have conducted allowed us to see first hand what our audience in terms of genre types. Through the use of a questionnaire we asked a set of questions which helped us shape our opening sequence. For example, we asked, would you rather have a detailed in-depth story-line or an action-packed story-line. The majority wanted a detailed in-depth story-line. which perfectly goes hand in hand with our genre, psychological thriller. Through the use of secondary research we saw similarities with our ideas, for example, researching a thriller genre based movie allowed us to have a framework to begin with our opening sequence. The 5 different thriller movies i researched gave different overviews of the typical openings in thriller genre themed movies. Edward scissor-hands perfectly displays how a typical thriller movie starts with a eerie nature.
