Analysis of Responses


  • This first question we asked to see which genre was predominately favored. For example, we expected that the sub genre psychological was preferred the most.



















  • Our response for this question was one sided as al of our participants chose one option. 'Detailed storyline with a realistic plot', this again relates to our type of genre as psychological thriller has similar story-lines to drama. As i have researched drama is more based on real life interactions, to make it connect with the audience more.





  • Using this we can identify which movies we can take inspiration from. For example, we can take hints from movies such as Hannibal, which allows us top see a top Hollywood thriller type movies.






  • Again taking information on our audiences favorite actor/actresses allow us to see how a characters should be built. For example, you will not have a superhero type character in a psychological thriller. Therefore using this we can understand the characteristics and personalities we can use to develop our characters.


  • This question allows to show us which director is most suitable to our genre. It also make us see what is trending among the cinema attendant population. 












  • This can establish a framework for our opening scene. Knowing what people expect, can also allows us to have an unexpected beginning.















  • A pretty obvious question to ask our participants, to know their preferred genre. As we can see the majority favored the thriller genre.













  •  This allows us to see how old our average audience will be. Enabling us to see which age rating our movie will be.

Target Audience Age group 16+ Young adults Students Change-sympathizers Our preferred audience would be a young adult audience. So this ranges from 17-40, as we believe this age group would be most suited and interested in attending our type of film. Our genre is a psychological thriller and the style we will use a modern 21st century setting. This will involve a bustling city life or a ordinary city type school. This will also relate to the regional identities of the inner city young adults who can relate to the surroundings, thus building a connection between the characters situation.
